Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): According to the report, at 2:40am on January 4, 2023, at Borei Keila point, Khan 7 Makara in Phnom Penh, a group of youths armed with swords and pistols rode up to another group of young people in the street, fired off a gun, and then escaped.

According to the young people who were sitting at the scene, they were nearly 10 people sitting there and talking, when a group of youths riding four motorcycles came to a halt in front of them, with swords in their hands. The gang ran towards the young people, who panicked and ran away.


A young man who was at the scene said that one of the gangsters pulled out a pistol, fired off one shot at them, and shouted "They are very arrogant. ”and then he got on a motorcycle, and the gang all rode off into the night.

The young people who were targeted said that they had never seen those men before, they have never had a problem with anyone like this, and they have no idea what that was all about.

After the incident, local authorities intervened and found a shell from the gun that was left at the scene. Local authorities stored this as evidence and went to conduct a search for the gunman and his gang.
