Foreign Driver Dies of Heart Attack at the Wheel
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A foreign man is strongly suspected of having a heart attack while driving, after he had an unexplained accident and died at the wheel of his car. This shocking incident happened at 7:30 pm on December 26, 2022, along the concrete road in Ta Nguon village, Sangkat Kakap I, Khan Por Sen Chey, when the driver of a Nissan car (Phnom Penh 2BG-1769), drove into two motorcycles and the fence of a house.
The car driver, who appears to have fallen unconscious at the wheel, hit two on-coming motorbikes on the road, and as a result, a woman motorcyclist who was severely injured in the collision is in a life-threatening condition in the hospital emergency unit. The other motorcyclist was only slightly injured. The out-of-control vehicle was finally stopped by crashing into the front of a house.
After the above incident, the local authorities in cooperation with the traffic department arrived and contacted the forensic experts of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police to inspect the body.
After examination, it was confirmed that the victim died from a heart attack while driving, but he has not yet been formally identified by name or nationality.

Re: Foreign Driver Dies of Heart Attack at the Wheel
I know it is nitpicking, but you die of a cardiac arrest, not a heart attack. A heart attack can last for days as the heart struggles to pump through narrowed arteries etc. A cardiac arrest is where your heart suddenly stops, either due to some internal electrical problem, or because of a catastrophic medical condition (aorta rupter etc).

Don't tell the competent authorities that, or they will have to amend 99% of every death certificate ever issued.simon43 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 27, 2022 1:43 pm I know it is nitpicking, but you die of a cardiac arrest, not a heart attack.
