National Police condemn social media commentator who called them ‘drug trafficking masterminds’
Khmer Times
The spokesman of the General Commission of the National Police has issued a press release strongly denying and condemning accusations that the National Police are reselling seized narcotics.
The denial comes after a Facebook page entitled IMan-KH, recently posted a defamatory message, seriously insulting the honor and dignity of the force.
In his post, the man accused the police of not actually destroying seized drugs and instead reselling them
A spokesman for the National Police General Commission said that the content posted above clearly shows that the owner of IMan-KH’s Facebook page, Nak, has a real intention to attack and destroy the honor and dignity of the National Police Force for the purpose of inciting the public to be confused and turn against the National Police Force.
Regarding such biased information, the spokesman of the General Commission of the National Police also clarified that:
* First, the drugs seized in the crackdowns on drug crimes have all been properly stored for forensic techniques to be charged and punished according to the law.
* Second, the incineration of drugs is carried out in accordance with the procedures, with the decisions, verdicts, judgments of the court and with the working group from the competent authorities and relevant institutions, chaired by the capital-provincial prosecutor.
Not only that, before the burning, there must be a joint commission to monitor the transport and burning thoroughly until complete so that no one can steal the drugs.
Drug incineration is carried out every year in celebration of the International Day against Drug Abuse, which is widely disseminated through all media.
* Third: The leadership of the Ministry of Interior and the General Commission of the National Police have paid great attention to the management of the National Police and strictly implemented the principle of rewarding and rewarding individuals for their achievements and punishing inactive officials for misconduct. The law does not allow any official to violate the law.
A spokesman for the National Police General Commission has denied and condemned the immoral acts that transgressed the limits of the right of expression of a person and demanded that he publicly apologize for insulting the honor and Dignity of the National Police Force.
On behalf of the law enforcement forces, the General Commission of the National Police will take all measures in accordance with the law against any act that harms the prestige and honor of the National Police Force.

A man, who posted defamatory accusations against the police, has apologised after his remarks were spotted by vigilant police observers
