For moviegoers, here’s a brand new showtimes website
Greetings CEO community,
Just in time for the holidays season – and the release of Avatar 2 – we are launching MerlMovie (https://cambodiamovietimes.com/), a streamlined movies showtimes website. The site offers a lean interface that quickly gets you to the information you are looking for.
Here are some of the site’s main features:
MerlMovie
P.S. For old timers of mainland Southeast Asia, this site is inspired by the once great Movieseer.

Here are some of the site’s main features:
- aggregated list of movies and showtimes across all three main operators (as of today Major Cineplex, Legend Cinema, and Prime Cineplex);
- capital/city landing pages to avoid displaying showtimes that are 300 kilometers away from you (as of today Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville);
- sorting of showtimes and theater locations by distance and time;
- navigation to specific theater locations by clicking on ‘view on map’ hyperlinks;
- focus on listing what is being shown today and tomorrow, nothing more, nothing less; and
- page load is fast, like, real fast.

Good idea. Assuming it wouldn’t be that much more effort to get the base price on there too I think that could add a lot
But it works well
Edit: looks as though you have to sign in to get prices, so I guess it is a few extra steps

Good idea, added in the wishlist. As you pointed out, there's no automated way to fetch the information so it'll require a bit of thinking as to how we'd want to do that.cautious colin wrote: ↑Sun Dec 18, 2022 11:59 am Good idea. Yeah, and the process to get the prices back is going to be very different for each oneMerlMovie wrote: ↑Mon Dec 19, 2022 9:16 amGood idea, added in the wishlist. While prices aren't in, a couple of suggestions that got to us via email were implemented:
That should help those people suddenly feeling the urge to see a movie at 8PM
@cautious colin , we're keeping the price tag on our list until we figure out a way to automate that across all companies.
- [-] When a given movie has run out of showtimes for the day, its poster will be grayed out and named struckthrough (see image below)
[-] Expired showtimes for a given movie or location are now hidden, offering a cleaner view of what's available
