Cambodian News, (Phnom Penh): The Supreme Court on the morning of December 19, 2022, heard the appeals of two men, one Laotian and one Indian, sentenced for drug trafficking. Khim Ponn, the presiding judge of the Supreme Court, said that the two defendants were Den Kaseth Pataphy, a 59-year-old Laotian national, and Bhagatshiv Dayal, male, 39 years old, Indian nationality. They were arrested on August 19, 2011 in Phnom Penh, as they attempted to sell a package of ICE (crystal methamphetamine), weighing almost 1kg, to a policeman from the drug squad.

The Supreme Court will announce the appeal verdict tomorrow morning, on December 21, 2022.
