Cambodian Police Crack Down on Imported Dutchmill Milk

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the 14th December 2022, the specialized forces of the Police Department of Economic Crimes, with the participation of local authorities and Dutchmill company representatives, investigated and cracked down on the importation of unofficial Dutchmill milk into Cambodia, in violation of exclusive distribution rights and with allegations of improper transportation.

During this operation, the police searched 2 different locations:
1. / The first location is at House 26, Street 13B (New World Borey Kambol III), Sangkat Kantouk, Khan Kambol, Phnom Penh, where they confiscated 6,500 bottles of Dutchmill milk, equivalent to 2,507 kg.
2. / The second location is at C70, Concrete Street, Sangkat Rolous, Khan Dangkor, Phnom Penh. Police confiscated 542 bottles of Dutchmill milk, equal to 323 kg.

The Deputy Prosecutor of Phnom Penh Court then ordered the authorities to confiscate all the products and store them at the director's office, waiting for the owner to come to the Economic Crimes Police Department for questioning.

It's pasteurized and says so on the bottles if you missed it which gives it up to 3 week shelf life.

But yeah, it's not fresh milk even if its commonly called that here.

Longlife milk in Cambodia is often called "fresh", as opposed to condensed or canned milk, especially outside of PP.
Basically, "fresh milk" means that the milk needs to be drunk in the weeks following the date given, but it won't keep (almost) forever (in a hot warehouse) like cans of milk.

Freah typically means non UHT milk.

As opposed to unprocessed unpasteurized milk

Anyhow it still lasts three times longer before souring than the pasteurized fresh milk back home =sussy

'Fresh' milk (the type with just a few days shelf life - I'm thinking of one brand in particular) often goes off well before the sell-by date printed on the bottle, even when kept in a normal cold fridge.

Because of that I started buying the stuff with (often) several weeks shelf life and to be honest, can't really taste that much difference, except Dutch Mill, which has more of a UHT taste to it.
