A new study from Pew Research Center found that 25 percent of U.S. adult Twitter users are responsible for 97 percent of posts in the country.

Ok, within the US, well that makes sense. So the other 3% are from minors. So why is that relevant?
Im sorry mate, but thats not what it means.

Its says 25% of adult users are responsible for 97% of the posts.
That means 75% of adult users are redponsible for 3% of the posts.

Nothing to do with minors.
Yes, you are correct. So in actuality only about 6% of the adults in the US actively contribute to Twitter’s posts.

That might be accurate as far as those who actively engage goes, but the platform has a much larger reach and possible impact than that. Famous entities' posts on Twitter end up reported in other media worldwide.

I’m not disputing any of that. My original post on this issue is that I don’t believe Twitter has that great of an impact when it comes to who someone is going to vote for in elections in the United States.

Read through that today - and wow, what a shit show! Also makes you think how Meta (FB), Instagram, Youtube, TikTok etc all also probably have exactly the same bs setup of "free speech".

Add Google search to the list....

But honestly.... What did people expect? Freedom of speech was the goal of Twitter?
What has changed since Elon Musk took over, apart from him throwing small bits and pieces about the past to the public. Has he changed policies? Can he be held accountable? Will he allow an investigation about his leadership in a year time?

Or is he in it to make some money?
