Man Takes his Life After Girlfriend Posts on Facebook
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A 22-year-old man put an end to his life, apparently because his girlfriend posted something about another man on Facebook.
On December 4, 2022, at an apartment under construction in Odim Village, Sangkat Choam Chao 3, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh, fellow workers found the lifeless body of Sarith, a 22 year old construction worker, who was living at the construction site. His hometown is in Kampong Thom province.
According to sources at the scene, the young man had been working there for only for six days, and the night before the incident, he chatted with his girlfriend. His girlfriend had posted a story on Facebook with another man, which upset him to the point of making a short-term decision to commit suicide.
The body has been sent to the family of the deceased in Kampong Thom. RIP

So sad and tragic when we continue to hear of these young deaths on the basis of 'it's the end of the world' and 'life is not worth living anymore' when one gets jilted or rejected.

People's lives are too wrapped up in social media.

Would it have been different if he heard from a trustworthy friend that his gf was into another guy ?techietraveller84 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 11:02 pm People's lives are too wrapped up in social media.
But to be fair "posting something" on FB,it could have been a naughty shot, or some lightly romantic quote / meme.
Posting what, that is the question.
Anyway, too late, and RIP.
