Re: Best Sim Card (poll)
I travel a lot for work. Some places, there is no e-sim option (or it’s a protracted pain in the arse, requiring me to hand over my phone which is a no).xandreu wrote: ↑Tue Sep 20, 2022 1:37 pm Thanks for the responses. It seems like Smart is coming out on top. I used to use their Smart@Home service which I found to be pretty reliable so it's looking like I may opt for that.
I see that they offer an e-SIM option. I have an iPhone 13 which accepts e-SIMs. Anyone know if there is any advantage to getting an e-SIM over a regular one?
Thanks
I used the e-sim for my Smart Number, and the sim slot will be used whenever I need a local sim, or drop in a company sim if they provide one.
Also, I can get a working number without requiring prior access to WiFi or a mobile network.

Re: Best Sim Card (poll)
So as of the 11th of November Smart officially shut off Smart Thommorng
This sort of sucks as that $1 converted into $1666 or the equivalent of 41G of data - so I would usually subscribe to that each week and usually top it up with an extra 50c twice later in the week (my work is fully online recently)
Now they are forcing people on to Smart Laor which despite it's name is quite far from laor as you get a measly 5g of data per week. That barely does me 30 hours
Technically it's still possible to subscribe to Thommorng by using the code *1700*1333# - but one has to input the code several times before it's accepted as they are phasing it out and also they will nobble any extra balance you may have on your phone if you persist on using this service that is supposed to be defunct
I'm surprised that smart are ending this data package war and wonder if it's because the various companies have come to some private agreement to stop them costing each other money
What other sims have ridiculously good data packages atm??

Metfone has a $8 to 4000$ exchange with a 30 days validity and a price of 0,025 per MB. Not as good as what Smart had on offer but a pretty large amount of data for 8$.Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 2:16 pm So as of the 11th of November Smart officially shut off Smart Thommorng

Re: Best Sim Card (poll)
I purchased a Smart SIM card that is unlimited for 30 days. Never purchased a foreign SIM card before. What do I need to do after the 30 days are up?
