Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A man drove a Ford Ranger car at high speed, swerved into a signpost, and continued on forward to hit the traffic light pole, severely damaging the front of the car before coming to an abrupt halt, last night at 1:30am on November 26, 2022, along Monivong Blvd, in front of Raffles Hotel in Daun Penh District, Phnom Penh.
Despite the spectacular crash, the driver was not injured and nobody else was hurt in the accident.

Eye-witnesses said that before the incident, they saw a white Ford Ranger car, with license plate Phnom Penh 2BO-7077, driven by a man, traveling along Monivong Road in the direction from north to south at high speed.

When he arrived at the scene, the driver swerved to the left for some reason, smacked into a signpost, (which said "SLOW DOWN"), and then hit a traffic light pole. The car was badly damaged at the front, but the driver emerged unscathed, immediately removed the license plate and fled the scene on foot. Local residents called the local cops to come to the accident scene, make a report, and remove the vehicle.
