5 Tons of Illegal Chicken Gets Torched
November 22, 2022 at 10:00
Cambodia News, (Kampong Chhnang Province): 345 cases of unlicensed chicken, weighing about 5 tons, were destroyed by burning by the joint task force of the Department of Agriculture of Kampong Chhnang at 3 pm on November 21, 2022.
Mr. Kreung Sam Ath, Director of Production and Veterinary Office of Kampong Chhnang said that the boxes of chicken meat were seized from a minivan, on the night of November 19, on National Road 5 in Rolea Beer district.
He said that since there is no proper letter of transport, and no clear source for the meat, the cargo was confiscated and the prosecutor set up a cremation on November 21, with the participation of Mr. Yeang Chankrong, Deputy Prosecutor of the Provincial Court Economic police and military police officers as well.
The van was also confiscated and handed over to the police, with the two drivers to be sent to court, because the car was being driven without proper documents and license plates.

…and now a hefty fine, please.
Eating meat is something that can’t easily be avoided entirely. (I’m no vegan or veggie) But 5 tonnes of death for no practical benefit to anyone is a disgrace.

No, feeding diseased, possibly chemical-ridden condemned meat to livestock is where we got mad cow disease. Not a good idea.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Would be a good thing to donate . If they only knew about my famous “donation “ topic ( )
And how everyone reads it everyday to see what going on
Can’t understand why that topic(ball) ain’t snowballing !
Couldn’t they think of anything else ?

Re: 5 Tons of Illegal Chicken Gets Torched
I've had food poisoning 3 times whilst travelling
2 times were in Sihanoukville, in 2015 & 2017
Unregulated possibly contaminated food being used by restaurants is quite scary
