In theory, why not, could be good for trade. But in reality, Cambodia would be the missing link. They can't even install a freight line from S'ville to PP, which is desperately needed. Sorry but I vote forCaliforniaGuy wrote:They didn't explain the purpose of building the link, would it be for passengers or freight or both. Some countries run high speed passenger trains and slower freight trains over the same track, could be their plan. If done right would be a boon for all the countries involved. Talk of high speed passenger trains sounds sexier, but it is moving freight that will have the greatest economic impact.

For Budda's sake, don't rush them. Right now Cambodia is concentrating on getting a rubbish collecting going, THEN they will get on with the small problems like trains and boats and planes...........Anchor Moy wrote:In theory, why not, could be good for trade. Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

You made me smile! Where did those old Burt Bacharach lyrics come from? Imagine they must have just popped into your head as you wrote about trains.
Speaking of trash collection, do you think Cambodia will ever discover the trash can?

I wish I knew a whole lot more, or a whole lot less.
