Thursday Night Hockey
Games are held weekly at the tennis courts behind City Villa on Thursday nights starting at 7PM. No equipment is necessary, except for goalies who wear full gear (provided). Sticks are also provided, running shoes are recommended. Beers afterwards. If you’re interested, please email [email protected] to sign up for our mailing list.
The cost is currently $5 per game to support sticks and court fees (long term lower cost fees are also available for long term members). At times games can be cancelled due to rain. If you have any questions about how to get there or if there is a game on that night you can email Tom at [email protected] or phone / text / email him at 095 97 18 01.

Re: Thursday Night Hockey
The league is mostly made up of 30 and 40 somethings with some people younger and older than these age ranges. It's fast paced 3 on 3 action with alot of Canadians, a handful of Yankees, 2 Khmers and a couple of dudes from Eastern European Countries (mostly former USSR territories). Throw in the odd Tourist and it makes for a pretty fun time.
A diverse range of expats that have one thing in common, a love of hockey.
If you find the Gym boring, yet love to drink beer and socialize then come out and play!
Also we are in the midst of trying to organize the first ever Ice Hockey League in Cambodia.
Check http://www.hockeynightincambodia.com/ for more details.
(When we have a deep roster we also play Monday Nights, but if not so deep, we revert to Thursdays only)

Our Tuk Tuk driver who also plays with us, demoing the new look. They also come in black. Sold 30 of 60 already, and only got them 2 weeks ago. The sports store across from Intercon is the place to go for Jerseys. Ask for Lee.

Re: Thursday Night Hockey
Shirts are relatively cheap to make here.
Back when Mr.Oglethorpe made the first batch of CHL t-shirts I think he was selling them for $5 each. These ones I made are $10 but are much nicer and I've had guys that are leaving the country soon say things like "It's nice to have this, it's kinda like a souvenir."
Our league unfortunately has 4 guys leaving this month, 2 for good, which always seems to happen about this time of year.
We shouldn't be in dire straits just yet but if your thinking of coming out, just get off your ass and do it.
Even if you don't think your good or your out of shape (1st games is always rough even for guys thare in shape, we get alot of people that are like "ummm I'm not the best player or I haven't played in a long time"), we have a great group of guys that will help coach you and we also try to balance the teams as much as possible.
