Cambodia News,(Kampong Chhnang): Four female students studying at Kraing Ska Primary School in Kraing Ska commune, Teuk Phos district, Kampong Chhnang province, screamed for help and fainted at 8:10am on November 10, 2022. The girls were rushed to the nearby Kraing Ska Health Center.

Keo Yin, principal of Kraing Ska Primary School, confirmed that this is not the first time; this type of incident has happened four times to these same four female students, who are about 12-years-old, and it is not known what causes it.
The principal continued that when there was a problem, the children were taken to Kraing Ska Health Center and some to the provincial hospital until some were taken to Kantha Bopha Hospital in Phnom Penh and their families. The doctor took the blood to the Institut Pasteur. However, there were no signs that the children were ill, they were in normal health and were allowed to return home each time.
Doctors at Kraing Ska Health Center confirmed that the female students of Kraing Ska School who had hallucinations and fainted showed no medical signs of illness because the girls' health was normal.


However, in a superstitious way, a magician has told the families that the problem was caused by ghosts. This claim was based on the fact that before they fainted, the girls were trembling, shouting "no, no", and shouting for help.

The school principal, Mr. Keo Yin,stated that more than a month ago, for the beautification of the school grounds, he asked all the students to clean the school grounds, including moving a pile of stones higher than 1 meter. Then a few days after this, several girls suddenly started shouting in the classroom (5th grade).

Mr. Keo Yin added that the students said that they saw a woman dressed in white, long hair who waved at them to go with her, but they refused and shouted for help, then the children felt soft hands and feet and fainted. These children have had this condition four times now, including on the morning of 10 November.

The principal said that the girls' parents had been to see a magician with chickens and ducks as sacrifices, but they didn't work. However, he added that this morning, after leaving the health center, the four girls were taken by their parents to see the magician again for treatment.

Ducks and chickens don't work you need to use $$ the more the better.

Without my glasses, I thought it said farting, which would have made the ducks more applicable; "after further investigation we have narrowed it down to one of these ducks. The chickens just happened to be crossing the road, at the same time."

On the subject of Quacks, only the magician said it was the white ghost woman, and the stupidstition could be standing in the way of needed medical attention.

If somebody's fainting regularly, there's probably a serious underlining condition which could be internal bleeding or inefficient blood-pumping to the brain.

The magician only makes money disappear. "Think of any, totally random, 4-digit number that you use when you go to an ATM machine... Now, close your eyes and count to 12 million"

Can an NGO come through and give every school a bottle of smelling salts just for incidents like this?
