Gang of Six Arrested in Sihanoukville for Theft, Arms, and Drugs

Cambodia News (Preah Sihanouk Province): On 9 November 2022, at around 10:00am, the Criminal Police Office of Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police arrested 6 suspects in connection with motorcycle theft and illegal possession and use of firearms. The arrests were conducted in Village 3, Sangkat 1, Preah Sihanouk City.

According to the report, the first suspect arrested was Nou Lida, who was questioned by police after he had just been released from prison in Sihanoukville.

When questioned, the major suspect confessed that he had stolen a motorcycle in the past and had recently planned to steal or rob another one with other gang members, but were arrested by the police. Then later, 5 more Cambodian men were detained for questioning and further proceedings. The second arrest was Chan Panha, the third was Touch Panha, the fourth was Pheng Samnang, the fifth was Kan Ratana called Heng, and the sixth was Doeun Ratana called Ponna.
Currently, the suspects are being interrogated and exhibits are kept by the police to build a case to be sent to court for legal action.
