the most popular Halloween costume in the islands

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

Unless u hold citizenship and a passport to the country ur in
your a tourist

BUT i draw the line at looking like one :-).
Does posing with a monkey on your head at a zoo count as looking like a "Tourist"? If so you are guilty as charged!

Not sure I agree and nor does the English language. Tourists and expats are not the same.

My point is we all started out as tourists. I’m sure there’s some funny pictures are you about where you dress like a tourist, even though you thought you were cool and a traveller.

That's nonsense. By your reckoning all the Rohingya in Bangladesh and all the Russian soldiers in Ukraine are tourists? Considering your obvious low understanding of language I'll try to help you with the definition:

Tourist:
1. a person who is traveling to or visiting a place for pleasure.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

I have absolutely no problem being a tourist, I actually embrace it. But elephant pants, along with crocs, are a fashion disaster.
Crocs are not about fashion, they’re about practicality.
Here in the provinces they’re ideal, waterproof, mud resistant, scuff resistant, don’t mildew or rot, they float, offer better protection from stubbed toes than flip flops (and stay on your feet better) they’re acceptable for wearing to provincial weddings, and I’m perfectly happy to wear them in town.
I literally haven’t worn anything else for three years.
I believe you but I will still give them a miss.

Had a chance to invest in a startup that made bits that go in the holes in Crocs.

No thanks. Stupid idea I said.

Anywaysup, back to tourists.
If you don’t live here full time - as in you spend the vast majority of your life here and have ties, family, wife, land, condo, vehicles etc then you’re a tourist. People who stay for four months then go back to work are not living here. It’s not home.

Look at your visa does it say tourist or retirement or whatever, bet you're travel insurance will say your not a tourist if you make a claim.
I've never seen a local in elephant pants only in pajamas.
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.
