Camboda News, Phnom Penh: On October 28, 2022, the police force of the Ministry of Interior sent a fake military general to the Phnom Penh Municipal Prosecutor's Office for questioning in connection with a case of more than 1 million USD of land fraud. The suspect used tricks to seduce the victims, Ses Prak Piseth and his wife, to buy land to build houses all over Cambodia, in Koh Kong, Prey Veng, Pailin, Battambang, Pursat, Siem Reap, Kratie, Ratanakkiri, Mondulkiri and Kampong Speu provinces to build houses for storage.

According to the police report, the suspect is Doeun Savoeun, male, 51 years old, Cambodian, currently residing on Lum Road, Khleang Saing Village, Sangkat Russey Keo, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh.

Following a complaint by Ses Prak Piseth, Doeun Savoeun was arrested on October 24, 2022, in Koh Kong province by order of the provincial court; the police searched the suspect and found that he was carrying forged identity documents - impersonating a general, forging a royal decree, forging an official stamp, and forging a general's ID card.

The suspect is currently being questioned by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
