228 Vietnamese Deported by Cambodian Immigration

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The General Department of Immigration announced yesterday morning, September 24, 2022, that 228 foreigners, including 50 women, were deported from Cambodia on 23 September.

A spokesman for the General Department of Immigration would like to inform the public and the media that on September 23, 2022, the General Department of Immigration deported 228 Vietnamese on buses from the Kingdom of Cambodia, according to the law on immigration, through the Prek Chak International Land Border Crossing into Vietnam.


The above foreigners were all arrested in connection with the crime of illegal residence without passports and/or visas, or for the misuse of visas in violation of immigration laws.

From October 20-22, General Department of Immigration Deports 263 Foreigners

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On the evening of October 22, 2022, the General Department of Immigration issued a press release stating that the General Department of Immigration would like to inform the public that during October 20-22,2022, the General Department of Immigration deported 263 foreigners of 4 nationalities, including 2 Bangladeshis, 16 Thai nationals, 74 Chinese (9 from Taiwan) and 171 Vietnamese.
The illegal immigrants were deported by the Cambodian authorities through the Phnom Penh International Airport Gate and the Poipet and Trapeang Phlong International land Border Gates.
These 263 foreigners were arrested in connection with the crime of illegal border crossing without a passport and working illegally, in violation of the law on immigration, to be evicted and banned entry into Cambodia for 3 years, in accordance with the laws of the Ministry of Interior.
