Foreign Casino Workers On the Rampage Busted with Drugs and Gun in Bavet Traffic Accident

Cambodia News (Svay Rieng Province): At 4:20 am on October 20, 2022, on National Road 1 between kilometers 154 and 155, Ang Sala village, in Bavet city, Svay Rieng province, 2 Chinese and 1 Vietnamese nationals involved in a car crash with a garbage truck were found carrying a Glock N17 handgun and a sachet of white substance (presumed to be an illegal drug).

The suspects are identified as LIAO PO-HAO, a 23-year-old Chinese man, KUAN-KAI, a 21-year-old Taiwanese man, and HOANG QUAN LONG, a 35-year-old Vietnamese man. They all work at the infamous Mok Bay Casino in Bavet city, Svay Rieng province.

The driver of the garbage truck was Sen Saren, a 52-year-old man from Tropang Plong village,Bavet city, and in addition, the accident destroyed part of a residence belonging to the head of the village, Chey Sovan.

Following the accident with the truck, the police found a Glock N17, and a sachet of white substance suspected to be drugs in the Ford Ranger (2AY-1099) driven by the suspects. They were speeding when their vehicle crashed into the garbage truck, the residence of the village chief, and then into another parked pickup truck.

The injured suspects were taken to the hospital and the damaged vehicles and other evidence (drugs, gun etc) were taken to the police station for further investigation.
