China eyes stakes in Russian oil and gas as UK and US plan import ban

China is said to be considering a swoop on Russian energy and commodity giants such as Gazprom and Rusal as the US gears up to target Moscow’s energy sector with new sanctions.

Beijing is in talks with its state-owned firms – including China National Petroleum, Sinopoec and China Minmetals – over any opportunities to buy or increase stakes in Russian companies or assets, Bloomberg reports.

It comes as President Joe Biden prepares to block imports of Russian oil and gas as early as today.

A sly move by China which shows it has no interest in trying to stop the destruction and death of a sovereign country and its peoples. The only thing China cares about is its path to world domination.

My job is 2 Km away, i have a big garden, and plenty of good books to read, re-read, re-re-read.
It does make a difference to my health & purse.

What's the alternative ? Find a meaningless work on Meta, go to the next mall to buy industrial food, watch Fox News in a loop, getting anxious for nothing ?

After all these and if the world still survives, Russia will be absolutely isolated and it's economy will hit the basement. I am sure China will invest and take over Russia piece by piece. No need to go all the way to Africa.

Brent is $88 a barrel.

Yet the world still turns. Just about.
