Sunday Roasts
Sunday Roasts
Think it's time this topic was updated. Buffalo Sister (arguably the best roast) has once again closed, not sure why. Shanghai doesn't do traditional roasts now, more a French themed chicken. Harry's still consistent but always leaves me wanting more (I'm a big eater). Exchange, went few months back. Barely hanging on, expensive, not sure current status.
The Pub, St 174, chicken, pork, sometimes lamb never beef. Plentiful and cheap. Haven't tried Aussie XL roast. Would be happy to hear of other posters suggestions and experiences.

Re: Sunday Roasts
Haven't eaten them but the front bar have amazing looking roasts. Unlike many they are not meagre portions
Re: Sunday Roasts
I just had a look online and found their Sunday lunch menu (dated Sept 2022!) and they have lamb available, which is rarely available here. I'm gonna give that a try soon.

I’m not sure if things have changed but it used to be they would advertise which meats that had each weekend - so as not to disappoint if you turned up wanting lamb but that week they hadn’t got any.Doc67 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 12:35 pmI just had a look online and found their Sunday lunch menu (dated Sept 2022!) and they have lamb available, which is rarely available here. Re: Sunday Roasts
Yeah I had the lamb a week ago, it was excellent, my partner had the beef, also really good. With 2 half pints of craft beer it came to $29, so not the cheapest but plentiful. The Pub was a lot cheaper at $13.50 but was, as they say, quantity over quality.
