American Drunk Driver Injures 4 People on a TukTuk and Flees

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. For starters, I think drinking and driving can cost you $1,000! Ouch.

News article states 6 days to 3 years imprisonment. However, I am pretty sure that those involved have the necessary resources to ensure not of that happens.
There was no sarcasm or malice intended during the making of this post.

This "dude" deserves jail time at Prey Sar.

the logical thing to do would be to come down on them enough to send a message. DO NOT drive drunk. Ding em good, get the guy a nice new tuk tuk. If this guy truly is a fugitive it's possible that'll be a fall out story. Ding em enough so locals see it "hurt". Get it all in the news so newbies coming see that IF they act "nice", it's all good, but if you show your ass, you'll rue the day. I think the locals would like him to lose that Mercedes to pay for the new tuk tuk. Plus whatever injuries the people sustained. Being as some were tourists, getting them good treatment would go some way to keeping tourism happy. Of course I did say the logical thing to do...
I suppose that might happen by accident.

So, we can assume Edrea Chua is currently locked up in Prey Saw Prison awaiting trial (or getting some cash together to negotiate her release)?

That's gotta suck.

Me too. He's an asshole. Keep your $20.

His Iranian entourage is cool though, always kept him out of trouble when I was around. If you offer him drinks he'll refuse, if you roll some hash he'll bite, 'na mean? Wonder if he still hangs around after the latest exciting events of Vic's life. Wasn't much better bouncing between Airforce and Martini's to begin with.
