This company has a great PR department and no end of boosters in the "sucker trade" small caps markets
Now 5-6c.
Approx 65% down from when it announced its big foray into onshore oil about 18 months ago
- and despite all the rosey gold rainbows it constantly spouts

Angkor Resources Finds Rare Earth Elements on its Gossan Hills Prospect, Cambodia

Rare Earth Elements Cambodia

Mr. Delayne Weeks reports:

Grande Prairie, Alberta--(Newsfile Corp. - November 16, 2021) - Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK) (OTC Pink: ANKOF) ("Angkor" or "the Company") announces exploration on its 100%-owned Andong Meas license in Cambodia has assayed 450 ppm in soils of Rare Earth Elements (REE) at the Gossan Hills Prospect.

The Company identified the Gossan Hills prospect on the Andong Meas license over the past several months. Angkor is pleased the initial assays on soil geochemistry indicate the presence of REEs on the prospect with sums up to 450 ppm in selected areas.

Dennis Ouellette, VP of Exploration comments on the mineralization, "It appears that the REE mineralization is replacing metamorphosed carbonate rocks adjacent to intrusive granodiorite. The initial numbers of the 17 REE's (Total Rare Earth Oxides) sum over 450 ppm with Scandium adding over 200 ppm. Worthy of consideration, thresholds of 500 ppm, have in some cases become commercially viable in areas of China where the REEs are close to surface and located in easily-recoverable medium like laterites, on top of diorites and syenites. Specific REE's can be extremely valuable so small amounts can generate significant returns."

The next steps will be to complete a full correlation coefficient on the results from the REE initial analysis. The elements that have a strong association with REE can also be sourced elsewhere on the prospect. The correlating elements may lead to other areas, yet untested for REE. A grid mapping survey has recently been completed on the prospect and that will be cross checked for this soil geochemistry. It would determine if and where areas from the grid display anomalous values of such identifying elements.

Previous Induced Polarization (IP) and magnetic survey over Gossan Hills is currently being re-processed which will assist in developing a useful new profile for the area. Further exploration for REE specific zones will be applied and identification of the source rock will become follow-up steps.

Delayne Weeks comments, "This presents a very new and exciting development. We now need to determine if areas on Andong Meas have sufficient commercial quantities of specific high-value REE's."

A follow-up program across the prospect is being outlined for further exploration over the upcoming months.

UPDATE
Angkor Resources Defines Drill Targets at Wild Boar Prospect, Cambodia
Angkor Resources Corp.

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – TheNewswire - Jan. 18, 2022 - Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV:ANK) and (OTC:ANKOF) (“Angkor” or “the Company”) reports advancement of the Wild Boar prospect on the Andong Meas license with analysis and interpretation, defining several drill targets.

A thorough examination of the exploration data acquired over the past season’s activities has been completed and drill targets have been identified over the main Wild Boar showing. Additionally, multiple mineralized zones have been delineated away from the main showing which require additional work.

The maiden diamond drill program will consist of approximately 1,200 metres in ten holes. It is designed primarily to test vein-style gold mineralization over at least 800 metres of strike length.

Image
Close-up view of Drill Target Area with Ground IP and Test Pit Areas

All the work was completed in collaboration with the local Jarai Indigenous communities under a joint operating agreement between Angkor and the communities.

The compilation of last season’s activity on Wild Boar included analysis of:
-998 geochemical soil samples on west, south, and north extensions of Wild Boar
-111 rock samples
-80 test pits with 127 rock samples
-2 artisanal shafts
-15,450 metres on 18 lines of ground IP-Resistivity geophysical survey
-Combined 2D/3D array IP survey

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, describes, “Interpretation of the IP survey completed over the Wild Boar gold target suggests that the system is an intact epithermal gold system with the flat lying veins discovered on surface representing the upper portions of the system. A north trending moderate resistivity anomaly continues to depth and may be the feeder zone for the dacite flows mapped on surface and may also have acted as the conduit for the epithermal vein system.
Chargeability values are quite low as would be expected in a low sulphidation system, but they do flank the resistivity anomaly and increase in strength at depth (+100 metres) which may be reflecting wall rock clay alteration due to boiling within the epithermal system. The point of boiling in an epithermal system frequently produces ‘bonanza’ grades of gold mineralization.“

Work continues on other prospects so drilling activities across the license can be consolidated.

I like fierce fighting, dirt-breathing, never say die underdogs so i have developed quite an affection for this gutsy liitle Cambodian/Canadian exploration company. (very high praise indeed from a ratbag greenie)
Ten years of digging holes and microscopically examining termite mounds. (yep, a common and reliable way to find gold) Lots of traces but no real finds. (yet)

Who said character doesn't count?
Back up to hold 11c for the past six months (from 5-6c for the prev six months)

Still a long way yet until we again hit the dizzy $4 heights of five years ago - but ffs man we are still alive, 10 years, and that sure is some kind of a holy miracle for the mineral exploration biz in this geologically-challenged land.

:beer3:

(until they find something serious - and then all bets are off. )

Angkor Resources Corp gets Oyadao North licence for analysis on assayed samples

Angkor Resources Corp. has announced it has received multi-element analysis on assayed samples of Oyadao North licence.

As part of its plan, Angkor had a geological reconnaissance survey examine the area north of the Sesan river near the village of Patang on Angkor’s Oyadao North licence.

The area is immediately east of Angkor’s Wild Boar occurrence on Angkor’s adjacent Andong Meas license. The reconnaissance programme discovered that a metamorphic package similar to those found south of Angkor’s Canada Wall copper molybdenum porphyry underlies this area, according to The Newswire report.

The area was previously explored with termite sampling survey but had not been geologically mapped. The deforestation of the Patang area has allowed Angkor to gain a much better idea about the geology in the area.

The existence of copper, lead, zinc skarns is quite likely. On surface there are massive magnetite, massive hematite and a small area of zinc, lead skarn south of Canada Wall. To the east a few kilometres is this Oyadao area that has a geochemical signature just like at Canada Wall. The termite mound sample anomaly is almost two square kilometres in size and is open to the north and the west.

The planned collection of these six soil samples all returned anomalous values for copper, lead, zinc, caesium, and tungsten.

Angkor Resources Undertakes Inspection and Assessment of Offshore Cambodian Oil Field

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – TheNewswire - (May 25, 2022): Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV:ANK) and (OTC:ANKOF) (“Angkor” or “the Company”) announces Angkor’s energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Corp., (EnerCam) advances potential Cambodian energy with inspection of production facilities in the offshore Khmer Basin.

Executive VP Operations of Angkor, and President of EnerCam, Mike Weeks, at the request of government officials of Ministry of Energy in the Kingdom of Cambodia, has led a technical assessment and inspection of the offshore production facilities and drilling platform, located 160 kms from Sihanoukville at the offshore oil field in the Khmer Basin of the Gulf of Thailand.

As President of and on behalf of EnerCam, Weeks, with over 30 years’ experience in international petroleum production, undertook a comprehensive study of producing offshore reservoir and potential recovery of further oil production over the past five months. As follow up to the report, submitted to Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) in March, Weeks recently oversaw a physical inspection of the offshore facilities. The crew ship taking the team 160 kilometers southwest of Sihanoukville, departed May 3 and the 8-man technical team was joined by 15 officials from Cambodia’s MME through inclement weather and unsettled waters.

There is obviously no oil down there worth talking about but maybe they can recycle the platform and related equipment etc...
Maybe an offshore resort opportunity?😂😂

ANGKOR RESOURCES' ENERGY Subsidiary Granted Onshore Exploration and Production License for Cambodia's Oil & Gas
Tue, October 4, 2022 at 2:41 PM·4 min read

GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – TheNewswire - October 4, 2022 - Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV:ANK) and (OTC:ANKOF) (“Angkor” or “the Company”) announces its energy subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Corp. (Cambodia) Co. Ltd. (EnerCam) has received final licensing for exploration, development, and production on Block VIII onshore Cambodia.

Mike Weeks, President of EnerCam, comments, “We are excited about moving oil and gas forward in Cambodia as we believe this is a monumental change for the entire country. Having its own long-term source of energy for LNG, for fuels, and a whole variety of products currently imported into Cambodia will advance this country to a new level. It starts with exploration on Block VIII; we see gas shows, oil seeps, and other indications on the license that point us in a potential direction for discovery.”

Initial reconnaissance over the license area by exploration experts indicates a sedimentary foreland basin. Geologists performing on-the-ground reconnaissance found numerous oil seeps and gas seeps across the targeted areas (see map on following page).

Initial phases of exploration on Block VIII will include the acquisition of available seismic, which will then have comprehensive analysis completed. Preliminary magnetics on the targeted areas will also be part of the first phase work plan.

The licensed area is on the southwest corner of Cambodia. The permitting is for an initial three-year exploration term and two further renewal terms of two years each. Development and production terms are for 25 years with additional renewals.

Exploration will be undertaken outside of park areas, part of EnerCam’s ESG mandate so the Company assists in protecting Cardamon Mountains National Park and Preah Monivong and Kirirom National Parks.

Angkor Confirms 108 Metres of 0.53% Copper Equivalent at Andong Bor, Cambodia
12/13/2022 | 01:31pm GMT
GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB –TheNewswire -(December 13, 2022): Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV:ANK)and(OTC:ANKOF) (“Angkor” or “the Company”)announces assays from our newest copper/gold license in western Cambodia confirms a copper gold porphyry system on the Thmei North prospect with similar results on Thmei South prospect. The license is due west of Ratanakiri province and straddles two provinces, Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey.

A geological team including VP Exploration, Dennis Ouellette, reviewed, logged, and assayed selected core from the license area drilled in 2016 by the previous license holders. The core was originally quarter sampled which allowed the team to select the remaining quarter core for laboratory analysis. Comparing the lithology and mineralization from the 2016 drill program, Ouellette commented, “There is no doubt we have a robust copper/gold porphyry system on the license. Copper mineralization is within veins, stockworks, and disseminations in intrusive ‘crowded porphyry’ rock as well as the mudstone wall rock. Our ultimate goal is to determine the size and grade of those systems with follow-up exploration”.

As the location of the license extends to the western portion of Cambodia seen in map above, Ouellette commented further, “Andong Bor significantly expands our footprint across the country.”

Core samples from two holes drilled in 2016 were selected at various intervals for due diligence purposes. Core from two other holes drilled in the area were also examined.
