One of my dogs guided me to this beauty today. Trying to improve my knowledge on these. Anyone knows what we're looking at?

I wonder if it's a Rhabdophis tigrinus.

The head is not that photogenic anymore, unfortunately.... It might be, it's lacking the reddish part, but maybe that comes with age? This was a rather young one, just 90 cm long.

Those don't occur here but I think it is some sort of Keelback. Maybe Triangle Keelback - Xenochrophis trianguligerus?

99% sure its a common Cambodian rat snake (harmless)

I believe you are correct, it is an Oriental Rat Snake.

Actually better to have around then rats and mice and as I said harmless to humans and pets

Yes, will give it a second thought next time, but these are f a s t and I'm not sure I can recognize one easily while it's speeding away from me.

Just a thought any Aussies reading this;
There are no Rat snakes in Australia however this same has very similar markings to a Tiger snake which is deffo NOT harmless !!
