Have you seen a UFO?

If you have something so weird, strange or off-topic to post and think it doesn't belong in any other forum; you're probably right. Please put all your gormless, half-baked, inane, glaikit ideas in here. This might also be a place where we throw threads that appear elsewhere that don't belong ANYWHERE end up, instead of having to flush them. FORUM RULES STILL APPLY.

So many theories and possibilities out there, many may mean life never gets beyond 1 planet.

It's taken 4.5 billion years for consciousness to occur. Our planet has about another 500 million years of existence left so if consciousness took 10% longer it would never have happened here.

Another point, will humans live long enough to colonise another planet or will we destroy our habitat or die from some kind of major event? How many other life forms in the 13.7 billion years of the universe have gone extinct before being able to colonise another planet?

How do we know that there is nothing out there, we know of the planet's and that of the universe around us, but what if anything else is beyond this! Technology is growing rapidly day by day and it may be possible that the development process may reveal more. Has for UFO sightings it could be more likely a little bit of imagination,
Always "hope" but never "expect".

I won’t/can’t discount the possibility of aliens, and alien visitors. I have insufficient proof either way. So, my personal belief is that there is life out there. Somewhere. Whether it has the capability, let alone the desire to come have a look is quite another matter. It is quite possible, then, that we are still the most advanced lifeform in the known universe. This is somewhat disappointing, knowing my own brother for one.

But some people don’t believe in germs, bacteria, and atoms simply because they cannot see them. So the question of the existence of alien life is pretty much in the same position.

If we are alone, we are still the most advanced. Many of us hope that there may be something more. To hastily classify anything unidentified as alien, though, is to ignore quite a lot of other possibilities. A flawed approach.
