You should watch Unforgotten - 3 series, about finding old dead bodies and tracking down the killers.rozzieoz wrote: ↑Fri Sep 23, 2022 8:34 pm I absolutely adore the British Crime dramas, such as Midsomer Murders, Rosemary and Thyme, Inspector Morse etc.
if that's your thing, look at this channel on YouTube, he has awesome stuff.

And for a very dark and sinister series, try The Fall- set on Northern Ireland about a serial killer.
Available on Pirate Bay.

I’ll state this controversial opinion now- I hate The Office. (The US version nearly more so.)
It’s dull. But a lot of modern stuff is.
Go back in time for a better grounding. Not the Nine O’clock news. The Two Ronnies. Anything Monty Python.
The curious thing about good humour is that it rarely gets old (maybe risqué), yet modern stuff manages to get increasingly less funny. The 21st century is rather disappointing, to be honest.
But then, I enjoy Gilbert and Sullivan, so what do I know?

It's cringy, which i like, and which Brits play very well with, in my opinion. They prefer make it cringy than just vulgar, which i appreciate a lot, pushing it towards weird developments...Freightdog wrote: ↑Thu Sep 29, 2022 11:09 am I’ll state this controversial opinion now- I hate The Office. Maybe it subconciously reminds you of an ex-job, long ago ?
Have you tried :
- Extras
- Life's too short
- Snuffbox
- Toast of London
- What we do in the shadows
and this
?

Has anyone mentioned Blackadder yet? (NOT the first series. WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THE FIRST SERIES)
When I show it to foreign friends, they're often not only surprised to see Mr. Bean talking, but find it hard to believe it's actually the same actor.
"We've been sitting here since Christmas 1914, during which millions of men have died, and we've advanced no further than an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping" has to be one of the best lines in any British comedy.

The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never allow the dumb ones to lead the pack.

For those who can understand Scottish dialect, “Still Game” is absolutely hilarious.
