My kid's bike isn't as large as the one pictured, but the front fork is. It's incredibly small, to be honest. It has a 24V battery pack, runs at 40 kph max and can do about 25k on one load at that speed. However, when battery runs dry it will automatically reduce the speed, no matter what.beaker wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 9:11 pmWhat is the Voltage ? This sounds way too good to be true with that top speed and distance just a decent (not the best) Li-ion battery pack with that capacity would be more than that price. The chinese have some very sketchy battery packs so make sure to test it (speed and distance) before buying and price the availability, type and price of a replacement battery.Kammekor wrote: ↑Mon Jul 18, 2022 8:56 pmSimilar, quoted 140kg incl bike, so about 100kg. Similar fork.
It's a pretty shitty bike, already had to replace one tyre after about 800 km's, but they cost next to nothing too.

Re: What are the options for an electric vehicle?
I am also thinking of replacing my trusted specialized city (13 years old.... still looking very good, it's not her it's me....) with an e-bike to avoid getting back in the tube when we finally get back to work. I have my eyes on a Kalkhoff Endeavour 7B Advance, with the new-gen Bosch CX. I am tall and big (2m and 120kg... hopefully going down soon....)
I read quite a bit about the bike and tried one at Velorution.
I've read people have had quite a few issues in the past that seem to be linked to a specific powertrain.

I took the picture with my phone in Portrait Mode which blurs the background and focuses on the subject.
