Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh):People driving a RollsRoyce luxury car became hysterical after they collided with a RangeRover car, at 11 pm on September 24, 2022, along Monivong Street, Sangkat Boeung Trabek, Khan Chamkar Mon, Phnom Penh. A woman in the Rolls Royce accused the Range Rover of causing a deliberate accident in order to kidnap the occupants of the luxury vehicle.

Sources at the scene said that before the incident, a Cambodian man was transporting several foreign men in a black Range Rover (with license plate Phnom Penh 2AX- 7881), traveling along Monivong Blvd in the direction from north to south at a medium speed, taking the passengers to a condo. Suddenly, a Rolls Royce without a license plate, occupied by a man and a woman, traveling in the same direction along Monivong Road from north to south at high speed, swerved to collide with right-hand side of the Range Rover. Both vehicles had stopped for a consultation, when a woman in the Rolls Royce accused the other car of plotting to kidnap her, sparking controversy.

Local authorities came down to intervene at the scene immediately, but while the Range Rover agreed to mediation, the occupants of the Rolls insisted on filing a complaint against the other driver.

The authorities then removed both vehicles to the Phnom Penh Municipal Police Traffic Office for them to deal with later.
