Tortured Vietnamese Woman Escapes Vietnamese Kidnappers in Cambodia

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On Wednesday afternoon, 21 September 2022, the Phnom Penh Municipal Police conducted a raid at Lucky Star Hotel, rescuing a Vietnamese woman hostage and arresting 3 Vietnamese nationals in Room 441 in connection with the illegal detention of people, use of torture, extortion and illegal use of drugs.
The Lucky Star Hotel is located on Street 366, Group 10, Sangkat Phsar Doeum Kor, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh, and the victim of the detention and extortion was a 41-year-old Vietnamese woman, who has since returned to Vietnam.

The three suspects who stayed at that room and were arrested were:
1. 37 years old NGUYEN VANTHIE,;
2- 41 years old LOU VAN CONG;
3-34 years old NGUYEN CAM GIANG.
The confiscated items are: 3 mobile phones, 1 small package of white powder, a black leather belt and 1 iron rod (which were tools used to torture the victim).
