Man Shoots Medical Student Girlfriend to Death in Phnom Penh
Re: Man Shoots Medical Student Girlfriend to Death in Phnom Penh
That’s one small for step on the long winding road to justice. A lot of shenanigans can happen along the way. When the gavel falls and he is salted away in the cells of Prey Sar, I will breathe my first tentative sigh of relief. But a lot can happen even after that. Royal pardons, cuts in the length of sentence, VIP prison projects, & etc.
Take a look at the pictures again. This is what a brigadier general in the Cambodian army can look like. A humongous embarrassment. The nepotism is so ingrained they have completely lost sight of the optics.

Cambodia News: According to the Thai newspaper Thairath, published on September 15, 2022, the 28-year-old Cambodian ex-soldier who used a gun to shoot his beautiful fiancée in the face in Phnom Penh was arrested on murder charges in Thailand in Moeung Chan Borei district in response to a Cambodian court order, Order No. 418/2020 issued in Phnom Penh, dated April 10, 2020.
The assailant, Yoeun Van Det, who was serving in the Cambodian army, committed the murder of his fiancé on January 16, 2020, with a pistol shot to the head. This incident was a serious and shocking case for the Cambodian people, especially because the victim is a medical student and her fiance is a Cambodian military man.
When brought to the Chanthaburi Immigration Office for questioning under Thai law in order to facilitate the repatriation of the presumed perpetrator to Cambodia, Yoeun Van Det admitted his guilt to police, and confessed that on the day of the incident, he had an argument with his fiancé where he accused her of seeing another man, and when she argued with him, he became angry and fired his gun at her head, killing her instantly.

It's quite possible this cunning master of disguise was stumbled upon by the Thai authorities for having no passport or other papers and they sent a photo to the Cambodian authorities to ID him and deport him. BINGO! Someone recognized him.
No doubt when he is handed over there will be several proud men in their military uniforms all festooned with medals, stars and gold braiding, and all posing for a photo-op trying to claim credit for a job well done.

Jealousy is the most irrational, ridiculous emotion. It's NOT noble to be jealous, it's destructive and stupid.Clutch Cargo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 9:48 pm Just got Mrs Cargo to have a look at the khmer video to try to find out the motive.
She says the guy was so jealous of the girl coz she got lots of calls about the cosmetics/lotions she was selling part time and some of those callers were guys..and he mistakenly thought she had other boyfriends/men admirers..
If you can't trust your partner to meet your relationship agreements, then don't be with them.
And if you find your relationship broken up and can't live without someone - then shoot yourself, don't shoot them.
Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

They mean PJ Prison, which is the nicer one you can go to if you can pay.A former military officer, who shot to death his fiancée in 2020 at his house in Phnom Penh’s Por Senchey district and fled, was arrested on Saturday evening and placed in detention at PJ prison....."The judge ordered him to serve the 15-year-sentence in absentia in the JP prison in Phnom Penh,” Lt Col Sarith said.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
