Cambodia News, (Svay Rieng Province): A Vietnamese man, working as a chef, died horribly at 3:15am on August 26, 2022 in front of the Casino 67 in Bavet City, on the Cambodian-Vietnam boder, when a gang of unidentified thugs beat him to death with sticks.

According to the police, the dead man was named Duong Minteang, a 34-year-old Vietnamese man who worked as a chef and lived in Hai Duong province, Vietnam. The group of suspected killers, probably also Vietnamese but who remain unidentified, fled the scene after the attack, leaving the victim lying dead on the road outside the Bavet casino.

According to witnesses, before the incident they saw the Vietnamese man, (the future victim), taking his phone to a pawnshop to get money to gamble in the casino. Then, later on, a gang of 4 or 5 men armed with sticks went to talk to the victim and attacked him brutally before running away.

Local authorities said that the dead Vietnamese man died from asphyxiation as a result of the attack, and they are still searching for the gangsters who were captured on CCTV.
