Procedure for reconnecting electricity in Phnom Penh?

Post by chinesetakeaway »

Forgot to pay my bill as I'm overseas and my credit had run down. What's the procedure and cost to get them to reconnect the supply? I've already paid the bill via ABA.

Used to be visit EDC and they will charge $5 (officially $2.50 but always paid $5 )for a technician to come and turn it on within a few hours

Been awhile since I had to do that though, so maybe reconnection fee changed, idk

I think it's more like $10 but I might be wrong.

Not happened for a very long time, but agree - you've got to go to EDC HQ near Wat Phnom, take a sacrifice of 10 monkeys shot by a competent policeman (optional), and a handful of cash, job done.
