Following the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak - News and Discussion

Yeah, that place out 'there'. Anything not really Cambodia related should go here.

I thought that was a very small number too. I think its got something to do with all the hard work and safety being done on the initial version so the latest one is more a matter of efficacy rather than safety. Just like flu vaccines each year are a slight modification on an already proven vaccine.
I guess we have a different definition for ‘proven’ .....a vaccine that neither prevents infection or transmission doesn’t sound ‘proven’ to me but hey ..... to each their own ..... like you, I’ve no concern about being trampled in the rush to line up.
Proven in the sense that hospitalisations and deaths dropped dramatically in those that got the vaccine. But yes, I understand that some only see it as successful if it stops infection.
Has anyone under 50, with no co-morbidities, actually died of Omicron?

I suspect more people die here of electrocution than Omicron, but they won't retro fit an earthing system!

I'm not taking anymore of it.

how can anyone believe the government here?

there are an average of 2,000 reported hospitalizations and 25+ deaths daily in next door Thailand, yet none here?
29 deaths reported and 1,508 new infected people admitted to hospital on Tuesday. 2,023 discharged. 20,256 still being treated.

WEEKLY UPDATE: Tested positive using ATK outside of hospital:
😷 7-13 Aug: 218,042 (31,148/day)
😷 31 Jul-6 Aug: 235,753 (33,679/day)
😷 24-30 July: 201,554 (28,793/day)

According to one of the country's top virologists, by about the end of this year, nearly everyone in Thailand will have been infected with Covid-19.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Given the size of Thailand's population comparable numbers of deaths in Cambodia (1/4) would just be noise I guess. 6 extra deaths a day all across Cambodia could easily remain unoticed..

I have seen the daily numbers of covid first hand being in Calamity hospital a few weeks ago. The person with covid is on a kind of basic stretcher, two guys moving the patient dressed in full covid gear. Then a guy following with a spray.
I suppose you must have to see to believe what I am telling you. But it's none stop! I was there at least 7 days, covid and TB are rife, 100s per day.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Not even a bad day in traffic tbh. 6 deaths in 14M is (statistically) nothing
