Goodness Me! It’s Gluten Free

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Order lunch today and receive a FREE chocolate brownie for dessert.
Rozzie, you're just asking for trouble from the nut allergic diabetic community...
The vegans are also fuming :(

Just curious, why would vegans be fuming over chocolate brownies? They don't appear to be wrapped in bacon or anything like that.

They contain eggs and butter.

A brownie wrapped in bacon sounds delicious!

Ah... I suppose telling them they're not being forced to eat them doesn't calm them down much then?

Oh! It was just a joke sorry, nobody is really fuming.
Sorry, I’m Australian, it’s my only excuse.

Seriously interested in the reviews of the brownies. How were they? Are they great or still a work in progress? How were they 2 days old? Bricks? I know gf baking can be a challenge.

butter is expensive. A trick that has never failed me is substituting at least 1/3 schmaltz instead to my cookies. They may be even better for it and it’s free as I render all my own animal fats.
