Landslide Kills Two Workers in Koh Kong

Cambodia News (Koh Kong Province): On August 10, 2022, at 4:30 pm, 2 workers were killed and 2 were injured, after a landslide at Ta Tai electricity plant in Koh Kong province, Tmor Bang District.
Mr. Orn Sothearith, Governor of Tmor Bang District, informed on the afternoon of August 11, that this rare accident occurred at around 2 pm on August 10, 2020, with the location of the incident about 20 kilometers away from the district headquarters, which made it difficult for the authorities to access the site for the past two days; it has been raining heavily in almost all the areas of the province.

The injured victims were treated at the Koh Kong Health Center, while the deceased victims were examined by the authorities and given to the family for the funerals. However, the underlying cause of the landslide is unknown and will be investigated
