Man Digging Dunny Discovers Ancient Bronzes

Cambodia News (Banteay Meanchey Province): Recently, a man called Saboeurn Ran accidentally came across five bronze ancient artifacts while he was digging a toilet for his new bathroom at his house in Kork Wat village, Chongkal commune/district, Banteay Meanchey province.

The bronze artifacts were given to the authorities for further preservation and investigation. It is suspected that the bronze sculptures originate from the 10th-century Koh Ker temple complex.

If you dug up something like that in the UK you'd have a team of hairy archaeologists camped in your garden for a year looking for more of the same.

Some things are better left unearthed.
