Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: According to a preliminary report from Sihanoukville authorities, at 1 am on August 9, 2022, a Chinese man was dropped from a car and left for dead, on Otres Beach in front of Hotel 520 in Village 6,(Otres), Sangkat No. 4, Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk Province.

According to the report, immediately after the incident, the Sihanoukville Provincial Gendarmerie intervened at the scene and found that the victim had died from gunshot wounds and stab wounds. Exhibits left at the scene included: a bullet and a machete.
In this case, the military police as well as the competent authorities are searching for the perpetrators, who fled the scene after dumping the body. The remains of the deceased were taken to a hospital in Sihanoukville.

It should be noted that murders occur frequently in Sihanoukville, mostly caused by Chinese people; much of the crime is linked to the Chinese casinos and they also have firearms that they use illegally.
People are complaining that all these security issues with Chinese nationals should be taken care of by the provincial police command and the gendarmerie, who are charged with keeping order in the city, yet the Cambodian residents do not feel secure in Sihanoukville with the present crime wave.

Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk Province ): A Chinese man was stabbed to death by a group of Chinese criminals with a sharp knife and shot with a pistol at around one o'clock in the morning on August 9, 2022 when the man's body was dumped at Otres Beach, in front of the 520 Hotel in Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville,

According to the police report, after being stabbed and shot, a dead Chinese man was thrown from a white Lancer Chrysler car, with license plate Phnom Penh. 2BA-6111, which then drove away from Sihanoukville on National Road No. 4.
Joint Sihanoukville police forces were alerted to the shooting, and they created a road barricade to stop the wanted vehicle. However, the Chinese driver escaped the police roadblock at high speed, swerving to the left on the national road toward Phnom Penh, but then the car crashed into a street lamp on the roadside, killing three people and seriously injuring one person (possibly a prisoner).
Following a search, police found a CF pistol, a bloodied knife, handcuffs, and other items inside the getaway car.


Currently, the injured victim and the bodies of the three other criminals have been sent to Sihanoukville Provincial Hospital for a further investigation into the background of the shooting, and also to establish the identity of all those concerned in the incident. (Allegedly all Chinese nationals).

Cambodia News, (Preah Sihanouk): On August 9, 2022 a shooting occurred at 00:50 in front of Hotel 520 in Village 6, Sangkat 4, Preah Sihanouk Province, between two groups of Chinese men. A Cambodian man was a car driver carrying five Chinese passengers.

According to eyewitnesses, the murder victim was first stabbed, then thrown out of the car, and shot in the head. The remaining Chinese escaped with the car, leaving one man dead and taking another man with them as hostage in the car.

Suddenly, the patrol car of the Special Intervention Unit of the Sihanoukville Provincial Police, which was patrolling the area, received information that they were chasing the suspect's car and the suspects opened fire on the police. There was an exchange of fire between the Chinese gangsters and the police officers during the chase, and several shots were fired, but in the end, the gang were located in Andong Thmor village, Prey Nob district, Preah Sihanouk province, where they crashed their car.

One Chinese male victim was rescued (as he crawled out of the car, he raised his hands to surrender and was handcuffed.) Of the five people in the vehicle, the Cambodian driver and two Chinese gangsters died from the accident, or from being shot by police; (this is not clear.) One gangster, (who later died), and the hostage passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.


Police confiscated 1 original black CF98 handgun (with 9mm ammunition in the cannon), 1 handgun with 9mm ammunition, and 9mm ammunition in the car. Also confiscated: 7 bullets (1 bullet left in front of the hotel 520 and 6 bullets left in the car), 2 pairs of handcuffs (1 pair in the victim's hand), 2 knives, 1 handbag Gray, 2 passports (HUANG MIN and FENG QIANG), 1 Chinese ID card, 5 bank cards, 1 pair of license plate (Sihanoukville 2A) -6145), 1 gray backpack, including: 1- 7 9mm small arms (packed in a plastic bag), 2- A large number of seals, 3- 1 lanyard Rope, 4- 1 piece of transparent scotch, 5- 7 pieces of torn handkerchiefs (for gagging the victim's mouth), 6- 01 screwdriver, 7- 3 pair of handcuffs
