34Yo Military Officer Killed in Phnom Penh Hit and Run

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 2:00 pm on July 27, 2022, on a concrete street in front of Borey Varina in Sangkat Krang Thnong, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, Pring Samy, a 34-year-old male military officer on a motorbike was killed instantly in a hit and run accident. The victim was from Prey Veng province, working in Phnom Penh.

According to the eyewitnesses, a mini truck (PNH 2BK-1047), driven by an unidentified man, lost control due to fast speed and crashed into a Honda Dream (PNH 1CU03707), driven by the victim. The suspect ran away from the accident scene after the victim was killed instantly.
The miltary man's body was examined and given to the family for the funeral rites.

I'm curious how drivers seem to run away, in broad daylight in the middle of the afternoon in a highly populated area. Must have been a Cambodian driver. Otherwise, I'm sure people would have chased after him and caught him.

No road dividers , you never know when your times up ,poor man and his family tragic.
