Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 17 July 2022, a "beautiful woman"* was seen driving a luxurious Lexus NX300 which crashed into three tuktuks parked on a pavement, causing one to overturn and two others to be badly damaged. She then tried escape from the accident scene to Wat Than pagoda, but was stopped by civic bystanders who gave chase to the hit and run driver.
The accident happened at 11:40 pm along Preah Norodom Street in Tonle Bassac, Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said that they first saw three Indian tricycles parked on a pavement along Norodom Road, when suddenly a beautiful woman driving a white Lexus NX300 (license plate Phnom Penh 2BH-8855) drove along Norodom Road at high speed. She lost control of her car and drove on to the pavement and slammed into the three-wheelers parked there.

Fortunately no one was injured by the accident. However, despite causing the accident, the woman driver did not stop. She kept driving and refused to stop, until she was chased down by the bystanders at the accident. She was finally stopped when she reached Wat Than pagoda.
Later on, the police came and arrested the woman driver, and made her negotiate with the victims. The dispute was ended with an agreement that the woman will pay USD500 compensation to the tuktuk owners.
