Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Cambodia News, Takeo Province: Due to a perceived betrayal in the business of finding artifacts, one person died from an attack by his partner. Subsequently, Daun Keo police have arrested a man in Takeo, who allegedly attacked the victim with an ax, and then dragged the body to a pond 300 meters away from the house.

Brigadier General San Sophal said that the murder took place at 10:30 pm on July 15 in So Chan village, Roka commune, outside Daun Keo City, and that the assailant was identified as Tim Vibol, a 53-year-old man living in the above-mentioned village, while the victim who died of his wounds this afternoon, July 16, is still unknown.

It appears that the two men were in business together, digging up and selling artifacts, but they had a serious falling out; the deceased man had come to Takeo from Ratanakkiri province with his gun to shoot the other man, but was killed with an ax.

Police have taken the murderer into custody for further questioning.
