Foreigner Run Over by Car After Motorbike Accident

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A foreign man died in a traffic accident which occurred at 12:30am on July 10, 2022 along the Boulevard of the Russian Federation, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

According to sources at the scene, before the incident, a man was seen riding a black Smash V motorcycle with license plate Phnom Penh 1HK-0335 riding along the Boulevard of the Russian Federation in the direction from west to east, when a foreign man riding a blue Honda PCX motorcycle with license plate Phnom Penh 1IM-4311 crashed into the Smash V motorcycle, causing both motorcycles to fall over. Meanwhile, an unmarked vehicle driving in the same direction as the blue motorbike ran over the foreign driver who was lying injured on the road, causing him to die at the scene. The car accelerated and disappeared.

The driver of the Smash V motorcycle, who suffered only minor injuries, fled the accident scene when he saw that the other driver was dead, leaving his motorcycle behind.

After the incident, the traffic police came down to examine and store the two motorcycles at the Land Traffic Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, waiting to be dealt with later.
Authorities said that the deceased accident victim is a foreign man, nationality unknown, who has not yet been identified.
