Re: Pass-app change
I like Grab with the debit card link coz there's no mucking around with paper money. At the end of the trip, it asks you whether you want to add a tip for the driver too. Furthermore, I created a virtual debit card on the ABA app then set a daily purchase limit and linked that to the Grab app rather than using my actual plastic debit card.

Usually at the destination, there are shops around.
Get a drink from a stall and pay the poor dude? How hard will it be?
It's your fault for not having small notes right? Being very rich of you; is this what you are trying to say?
It's the passenger's responsibility to be able to pay for a service.
Poor dude already working hard to transport people around yet have to entertain with you sort of people.
Even if it's a scam, i don't blame the driver. I blame the passenger.
I will always carry few notes of 5k riel and 4pieces of 10k riel daily.

The grab app is not as good as Passapp but you get used to it, and when you get to your destination you just walk away, and that makes it all worthwhile.xandreu wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 8:20 pm I agree with the comments about always making sure you have enough change for your ride but we've all been in that situation where we simply don't and the best we can do is a $5, or worse, a $10...
I guess the best thing to do in that situation is to wave it at them before you get in so that they know that's what's you're paying with. It's up them then if they take the fare or not.
I wasn't aware that you can pay by card with Grab. I will look in to it. I don't know why but I've always found Grab's app to be a bit more finnicky than Pass-App.

Re: Pass-app change
Just saw this old post. Its true, whenever the fare is say KHR3000 and I give a 10k note, the driver never has change. But if my khmer gf pays, there is always plenty of change, so now before we go out I give her a couple of 10k notes to pay the passap - the only thing is, I never get to see the change anyway, so I am no better off!
