Cambodia News, (Kampong Chhnang Province): Two suspects, siblings, were arrested by the police of Kampong Chhnang City who were chasing suspects riding motorcycles to catch people's dogs in villages in Kampong Chhnang Province.
The arrest of the two dog-knappers took place at 3:30am on July 2, 2022 at the roundabout in Kvit village, Pong Ror commune, Kampong Chhnang province.
According to the police, the suspects who were detained by the police are two brothers:
1. Khy Sokchea, Male, 32 years old, living in Tropaing On Village, Chrey Bak Commune, Rolea Bier District, Kampong Chhnang Province.
2. Khi Sopheas, Male, 20 years old, living in Trapeang On Village, Chrey Bak Commune, Rolea Bier District, Kampong Chhnang Province.

Police said that before the incident, Khy Sok Chea was the motorcycle driver, while Khy Sopheas, the younger brother, hit the dog with a stone, then hit it on the head with a hammer until it died, and then put the dead dog into a bag and took it away.

During the arrest, the police found 1 dog (dead), 1 hammer, 8 stones and 1 motorbike. After questioning, the police prepared a case file and sent it to the provincial police commissioner to proceed with the procedure.
