UK Flight Chaos - Who's at Fault ?

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

But just checked PP- SFO in Oct
Eva $1,040 ( 17 1/2 hours / 23 hours)
Philippine Airlines $768 ( 33 1/2 / 34)
Singapore $1,145 (19 / 20 1/2) or $1,087 ( 23 1/2 / 20 1/2)
those are only a bit more when i flew in 2018
looks like time for a trip back :-)
I paid less than $800, actually closer to $700 only because they now charge now to pick your seats, in 2020 from IAH-BKK-IAH on EVA.
the Eva flight to Bangkok is $811
Singapore flight $894
Philippines $627
On EVA YVR->PHN->YVR

In 2019 $800 CAD
Now $1550 CAD

We Canadians are getting screwed

Decent prices. Flying out of Houston is quite a bit more than SEA, SFO, and LAX, mainly because they have many more different airlines, so more competition, and they are around 1,200 miles closer to any destination in SE Asia.

Hell, Singapore Air from SFO has direct flights to Changi Airport now.

I've flown Singapore airlines more than once ( Phuket-sing-sfo) and its always been non stop from sing to sfo
Cathy also flies non stop HK- SFO ( did Phuket-HK- SFO in 2018 for only $850)
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Didn’t know SFO-SIN had non-stops before. Hong Kong-San Francisco of course. What I am saying is, out of Houston, there are only three (3) Asia based airlines that fly from Houston, and only two (2) that fly straight through to somewhere in Asia, Eva to Taipei, and Air China to China. If someone wants to fly an airline like ANA, Asiana, Korean Air, Cathay, they have to fly with their partner US airlines, United, Delta, American, to connect in another city, which makes flights out of Houston longer and more expensive, and more of a pain in the ass. Although you can book ANA straight to Japan from Houston but it’s on a United Airlines flight.
