Goodness Me! It’s Gluten Free

Discussions about restaurants, cafes, coffee shops or bars in Cambodia. Feel free to write any reviews you have, whether its the best burger you've had in Phnom Penh or the worse pizza in Kampot, we want to read it! Discussions about Khmer dishes are also in here, or you can leave your own. If you own a restaurant, feel free to let the expat community know about it here so that we can come check it out. Found a favorite cafe or have a place we should avoid? Tell us about it. Asian recipes & questions are always welcome.

Quote - So glad you enjoyed it :)

I did enjoy the meal, very much so. You have a first class cook at "Goodness Me! It’s Gluten Free" not only gives excellent value for money, with fresh ingredients, but she seems to enjoy what she does, and cooks from the heart. You don't get much better than that in Phnom Penh.

Seriously good photos Roz, the purple background is ingenious. So few places can take good photos for their menus, you should offer it as a sideline service.

Thanks Doc!
I hired David Flack to take the photos, if anyone needs his details.

It is not the easiest thing taking photos of food dishes, I would say Roz has thought well of her advertising of her new venture. I mean look at her menu, very professional.
But the proof is in the pudding, so, to speak, and the food is very good.

I've watched enough restaurant makeover shows to know that branding is crucial, as is packaging and photography.
I'm extremely lucky to know lots of talented people who could help me tick all those boxes.

I am happy for you and your new venture; I hope it is a success story.
When I had my bar/restaurant my biggest problem came from expats with nothing better to do but try to ruin your business! for example, there was a review on Google maps, the person who wrote it said the bar is too small and was like someone's living room also it was full of Khmer has he viewed from over the street. Firstly, we are in Cambodia, secondly, he never came in.
Another was that of a restaurant owner in the town who turned up for a glass of free water, but decided to tell my customers that my meat was not real, but synthetic and came from Vietnam, they believed him, stopped eating and left.

I don't know you other than this forum, but I often think Cambodia is full of holes when it comes to gaps in the market for business ideas. I genuinely think you've hit upon something here and although I don't (think I) have a gluten issue personally, I'm sure this has a lot of potential. Your dishes look delicious, regardless of the gluten-free aspect. I'll certainly be ordering from you at some point.

Good luck in your venture.
