Seeing a ride-by snatch and grab on riverside, yesterday, it occurred to me that if one needed some basic, but relatively competent emergency treatment- say, broken nose- one might be hard pressed to get a sensible answer.

Any thoughts? X-ray, assessment, adjust the shnozz back to its familiar place.

Central Hospital seems reasonably competent. I had to go there at short notice one weekend. All good.

I was a tad sparse with the details on Sunday. I was nursing a broken nose among a few other issues, and then the snatch and grab that I witnessed the day before had me pondering the question that I posted.
I did go to Khema (the whole family are well known, there, and it’s nearly walking distance from home), and their suggested course of action would have been some minor surgery with a $3000 bill, following a CT scan.

Central saw me for a second opinion, an estimate of the potential surgery was somewhat cheaper by $700, but with the same surgery under a general anaesthetic. However, following a consultation, the surgeon recommended doing nothing further.

Central hospital medical staff; their communication is much better, both clarity and quality. Spoken English is very good.
