Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey): At 8:20 pm on June 16, 2022, in O Snguot Village, Banteay Meanchey Province, a truck driver crossed the railway tracks without looking and got hit by a train.

Colonel Sin Narak, police inspector of Mongkul Borei district, said that a white Hyundai truck, license plate Phnom Penh 3D-5575, traveling along National Road 159C in the direction from east to west, was crossing the railway line without being careful, when a train from ROYALRAILWAY company, running in the direction from south to north, crashed in the truck and dragged it along the railway tracks for a length of 38.50 meters.


The inspector confirmed that no one was injured in the accident, and because it was due to careless driving by the truck driver, the train driver was not held responsible for the accident.
It was mentioned that the trains on that line rarely travel at night, so the local people are not used to taking precautions when crossing the tracks.
