Police Arrest 2 Chinese for $150,000 Theft in Daun Penh
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The Office of Minor Crimes of the Criminal Police Department said that on May 31, 2022, $ 150,000 was stolen from a Chinese man in front of Ser Chi Hour Lian, Sangkat Phsar Thmei II, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
After scanning the security cameras, on June 10, 2022 at 11:25, police arrested two foreigners, WEI JING YUN, male, 56 years old, Chinese, and QING YUI YUN, a 41-year-old Chinese man, at the corner of Street 289 and Street 516, Sangkat Boeung Kak II, Khan Toul Kork, for questioning.
The victim is SHENG GUANGYONG, a 65 year old male Chinese national. Preliminary information suggests that the thieves were aware that the victim would be in possession of a large amount of cash at the time of the robbery.
Material confiscated - 1 black Honda Dream motorcycle, made in 2016, with license plate Phnom Penh 1FR-5515 - 2 mobile phones, blue OPPO and pink VIVO - 2 knives - 1 screwdriver - 3 T-shaped locks (for unlocking car door locks) - 2 8-9 ring locks - 1 magnet.

No mention of $150,000 though.

And then you see all the idiot barang frequently on Facebook whinging about a robbery or a home break in, currying sympathy, who will get hostile when it is suggested they would be better making a police report than posting on FB and say "the police will not help" or similar
