Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 7:00 am on June 3, 2022, in Tnoat Chrom 2 village, Khan Mean Chey, a concrete surface on street 371 collapsed due to an overloaded concrete truck (PNH 5A-1361).

The vehicle was carrying concrete to a warehouse when the road collapsed under the weight of the load. The authorities inspected the damage to make an estimate of the cost owed by the concrete company to pay for the destruction of public property.

The truck didn't cause the cavitation that was already under the concrete and the truck didn't neglect to use rebar in the concrete lol

Interesting question, can you overload a concrete truck? If you fill it up with mercury, for sure, but can you overload it with concrete?

Or was the road below par?

it is impossible to overload a cement mixer. It holds a load of cement and that's it.
And so the road surface was shite to begin with ? Surprise.

How does one overload a cement mixer truck?

And under the road looks like a ditch or slope. Thin metal bar was placed on top to even things, then the concrete road poured on top. So the bar was supporting all.

Excellent engineering choices all around.

It was possibly a quite solid foundation it was built on that was undermined by flood waters. A culvert or two might be desirable.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

I can't say what happened here, but it could just be a drain under the road. On the road where I live the city "authorities" built over a roadside drain in order to widen the road when they concreted it.
Of course there was nothing underneath the concrete surface to support it, so the first big truck that came along broke the concrete surface and got stuck in the drain. (As a result, hours of fun for the whole street watching the show. :plus1: )
