Dead Man Found Lying on Phnom Penh Sidewalk

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 9:50 am on April 22, 2022, in Choam Chao 3 village, Sangkat Choam Chao 2, Khan Po Senchey, a 30-year-old man, identified as Reth from Thmor Kol 3 village was found dead on the street. He was known to be a drug addict and an examination of the deceased determined that he died of an overdose of drugs and alcohol.

According to the family, the victim suffered from his recent divorce that led to him abusing illegal substances and alcohol. He was already mentally unstable and often slept out on the streets.
The body of the victim was given back to the family for the funeral after the autopsy.

I think in a lot of cases they don't even realise what the drugs are doing to them. I have known normal, sane people become unrecognisable. RIP

And nowadays, God only knows what they're actually taking vs. what they think they're taking. We see a lot about how Chinese (pseudo)-fentanyl filters into the the US via Mexican cartels but it would stand to reason that fentanyl-ish products drip down into SE Asia a whole lot, too.
